Weddings, events and parties in Scotland, planned to perfection by Fin Flükra.
I’m Catrina Duthie, a Glasgow-based Shetlander with a modern approach to Scottish traditions, and an unrivalled book of creative contacts.
I specialise in creating bespoke and stylish celebrations in Scotland for couples who are looking for something with a personal, meaningful, tailored touch. I provide a personal service, working closely with my clients to bring together individual, creative ideas, visions and themes, creating a day that will be uniquely yours.
I really come alive when I’m collaborating with a couple on a truly bespoke and unique day. I’ve got the aesthetic vision and the contacts to help craft a wedding that seems to be an extension of the couple themselves.
Does that sound like your thing?
Fin (/fin/ - verb)
To find (Norse).
Flükra (/floo-krah/ - plural noun)
Large flakes of soft-falling snow (Shetland).
The name Fin Flükra is derived from the traditional languages of my native Shetland. Flukra is an otherworldly image in Shetlandic; it’s a piece of language that captures some real intangible magic. The perfect natural spontaneity; a unique occurrence. This is what I want to create for couples or clients when I collaborate on a deeply personal event; this is what I want to find when I unearth a gem of a supplier.
